Designed specifically for outdoor use, the Wahsega Outdoor Pedestal IP Intercom is a workhorse IP solution for gate and entry intercom needs. Its steel construction and tough exterior house an integrated speaker, microphone, as well as circuit board with conformal coating to protect it from the elements.
Rear conduit and fastener access make this intercom perfect for mounting on a wall or standard gooseneck pedestal near an entry access point. Register the Outdoor Pedestal IP Intercom as an extension on your VoIP phone system, and users can call a preconfigured number on that system. Crisp, two-way audio ensures that parties on both ends of the call can clearly communicate. Users can also stream background music or send alerts using Carina.
The Outdoor Pedestal IP Intercom can be managed by the Carina Event Manager or Event Manager Lite.

Using Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) for data and power, the Outdoor Pedestal IP Intercom is simple to setup and install.
Users place a call by simply pressing a button on the intercom, which dials a preconfigured SIP extension. Clear, full-duplex Voice over IP (VoIP) audio with background noise suppression and audio filters ensures smooth conversations..
The Outdoor Pedestal IP Intercom can receive inbound calls and stream RTP multicast audio at multiple priority levels. This allows users to stream background music without affecting SIP calls and to broadcast emergency announcements without interruptions.
Programming the Outdoor Pedestal IP Intercom is simple, and LED feedback on the intercom lets installers know when their system is up and running. The intercom supports the SIP protocol so it can register with Wahsega’s Carina PBX, Carina PBX Lite, or any IP PBX for easy integration with your existing phone system. The best way to manage this device is through the Carina Event Manager or Event Manager Lite.
