The Wahsega 2x2 IP Ceiling Speaker is a PoE-powered drop-in IP ceiling tile speaker with SIP and Multicast Support for paging, built-in microphone, sound reinforcement, advanced panic button functionality, and door lock relays for classroom safety. This revolutionary speaker has the ability to power a second, auxiliary speaker up to 20 meters away via PoE cable. This auxiliary speaker performs all of the same functions as the first—without the need for an additional home run, drastically reducing overall labor and equipment costs.

With VoIP calls via SIP registration, the Wahsega speaker functions as a 2-way SIP intercom and also receives broadcast paging announcements via its multicast support, all from a single IP speaker.

Two onboard relays on the Wahsega 2x2 Ceiling Speaker enable emergency classroom lockdown by controlling door locks for up to two doors.

The IP ceiling speaker works with standard panic buttons. In addition, it provides advanced functionality to reduce the number of false alarm triggers from the panic button. With this advanced functionality, a brief button press places a call to one preconfigured number—such as the front office—while a longer press-and-hold will call a second, preconfigured panic number.

For larger classrooms where a second speaker is needed, the IP ceiling speaker has the ability to drive a second, lower-cost Wahsega analog speaker up to 20 meters away via Cat5e or Cat6 cable. Alternately, the two-classroom IP ceiling speaker can drive an auxiliary speaker in a second classroom. In a two-classroom configuration, the auxiliary speaker has all of the functionality of the first speaker, without an additional wiring home run.

With simple installation and advanced functionality, the Wahsega 2x2 IP Ceiling Speaker with SIP and Multicast paging support is perfect for any classroom application, large or small.

The SIP Alerter is a small, surface mounted classroom IP speaker, powered via Power-over- Ethernet (PoE). Primarily used to broadcast alerts and announcements from public address systems using voice over IP (VoIP), this low-cost, high-quality speaker also functions as a 2-way SIP intercom, thanks to a built-in microphone.

The SIP Alerter uses either its own internal speaker for broadcasts, or it can power and route audio through a separate, analog horn speaker or send audio via line out to an amplifier. With multiple priority levels available for RTP multicast streams, higher priority pages and broadcasts are able to interrupt those of lesser importance.

In addition to these features, the SIP Alerter has an input for an external, remote panic button, with added functionality to reduce the number of panic button false alarm calls. With this advanced functionality, a brief button press places a call to one preconfigured number—such as a front office phone—while a longer press-and-hold will place a call to a second, preconfigured emergency number.

Each SIP Alerter also has an onboard relay, enabling centralized control of a classroom door lock or other options such as a strobe for emergency lockdown scenarios.

Programming the SIP Alerter is simple, and LED feedback on the speaker lets installers know when their system is up and running. Auto-configuration solutions for both option 66 and option 150 are included in the firmware for fast and efficient system initialization and maintenance.

With simple installation and programming, advanced functionality and reduced labor and installation costs, the Wahsega SIP Alerter is the perfect solution for any educational application.
